There are so many fun things that happen when a boy turns 8. One of them is the opportuntiy to build and race a pinewood derby car. Roger and Sam started early and had a great time designing, cutting, sanding, weighting and painting the little hunk of wood until it was gleaming and ready to rip down the track.
We have a great Cub Scout organization that is currently headed by my friend Shiloh. She is so good about coming up with fun things for every thing she does. I loved all of the fun "Race" decor and the cute little Twinkie cars each of the racers received.
