Grandma Madge's Quilts

When Grandma Madge was visiting us this summer she made each of the kids a quilt. I had planned on getting a photo of each of them with her while she was there, but some how did not. So while we were down visiting in AZ for Thanksgiving we stopped by her place and made sure that we got them. The kids love the time that she comes and spends with us in the summer and love their quilts. Each of them sleep with them and often bring them to the living room to watch TV with.
We decided to take them in front of her orange trees. Roger is always amazed when we are down there in the winter at the fruit on the trees. We brought home a couple of grocery bags of oranges and grapefruit with us. Yummy! She called me a couple of days later and told me it was a good thing we got them when we did because they had an unusual cold snap. 24 degrees, that she thinks ruined all of the fruit. While we were there she also let all the boys pick out a knife from an assortment she has. They were all so excited. Even Roger.
Seeing how big Jake is in this photo reminds me of when I was expecting him and had come out to this house to wait for him to be born. I love this little old place.
Grandma had made Jake a really nice flannel full size quilt for his bed but when he saw this Toy Story fabric he sheepishly asked if he could have a smaller one made from it. He has loved Toy Story since it came out when he was a toddler. He has even taken this quilt with him on his bus trips for soccer. The other boys got a kick out of it and then started bringing there stuff too. LOL
Madisyn and her Great Grandma. Madisyn was very excited about the cute plaid with her favorite color, yellow on the back.
Sam showing off the new knife he just received from her. Sam and Luke each got their choice as well. When they saw the Pokemon that was it! Happy Boys!!!!!
Luke with his quilt and knife too.
Me and my grandma! I miss living closer to her.
