Hottie? 4/15

So, is it really bad to call your son a HOTTIE? 'Cause if I was a teenage girl I would. LOL
I was playing with my new camera when Jake got home from school so he got to be my model.
Here he is unloading half of the little boys new play set. Another of the things I had saved my tax earnings for.
Whoops, got a text from a cute girl! Gonna have to  wait until he reads it to finish the job!
I mean, really people, look at those GUNS on his arms! :)

Can you say MAMA-ITES?

These little boys are so funny. They just LOVE to be close to their mama.
On this particular morning I could not get them moving. They just wanted to curl up on the floor with me.
Silly boys!

IT'S HERE!

I've been reading and comparing and shopping and  shopping and finally ordered

a fancy shamsy Digital SLR camera.
It was a long hard tax year but I kept my goal in sight and it was SO worth it!
Roger and Luke checking out all the cool toys it came with.
Wow! I can tell already that it takes AMAZING photos! I am just so excited to learn how to use it!!!

Spring? 4/05

I am so excited to have the bulbs I planted last fall come up so pretty!
Every thing else is still dead and ugly but these pretty little hyacinths.

My Nephew Chase

In January we received awful news that my little 3 year old nephew Chase had been care flighted from his home in St.Johns AZ down to Phoenix.

It was a Very scary time, they could not figure out what had caused him to crash so badly and what was causing all of the seizures. He was in a drug induced coma for weeks.

But finally, slowly after waking up he started doing better. When he woke up he had reverted back to a newborn but after 3 months in the hospital he was starting to say a word or two and was crawling.
He is now walking and still coming along. He can not use his left arm at all  and drags his left leg, but everyone is very hopeful that he will get full use of everything again.

Almost forgot Valentines Day!

Every once in a while I get my Fun Mom Mojo going and do something special for the silly little holidays that come along.
Roger brought me Roses home. (something that happens once in a blue moon. lol)  And I made a yummy chocolate dessert to top the evening off.

Although dinner doesn't look to appetizing in the photo is was pretty tasty. We has heart shaped Salisbury steak, heart shaped whole wheat biscuits and table beets.
After dinner we had a fun Family Home Evening making Valentines, with something nice written about each member of the family on them.

Kinda fun watching Roger and Jake make Valentines!

Major Bathroom Remodel, DONE! 4/3

The time has fianlly come to get the hall bath remolded. We started it on Jan.21st hopeing that we could just repair the tile in the shower.
Well,. I should say Roger hoped we could just repair the tile in the shower. I new that after a year plus of water running down the wall under the window, that we would be lucky if we didn't have to replace the sub floor.
Guess who won that bet. LOL Sadley ME. Certainly this is one time I wish I was not right!

Roger and Jake replacing the floor under the tub.             I was surprised how much I could get in the old van.
The little boys had to get under the house and clean up all the debris that fell down during demo.

Everyone got in on the fun. Even Madisyn.
We decided to go to a large shower instead of another tub. It turned out to be a ton of work though!

Madisyn refinishing the mirror to match the new cabinet.            Wall repainted and floor ready for tile.

Jake learning plumbing and so much more!           Cheap LABOR!
She really did get her hands DIRTY!

Almost DONE!                                                All DONE! YEA!!!!!!!
Six weeks of six people sharing one bathroom has finally come to and end!

Braces OFF! 3/31

It only took 2 1/2 years! Yes. there is LOTS of sarcasm in that phase.
Before going into to the office.
 There they go!
We LOVE Dr. Struby, we're going to miss her.
 GORGEOUS!
She is not too thrilled with the retainers, but they are clear with polka dots! So I guess that makes them OK.

She will look like this for a year, then she just wears them at night for the rest of her LIFE.
I guess I'm glad I never had braces after all. I didn't know you had to wear the retainer the rest of your life

Some big SHOES to fill

As I have said before, we FINALLY got a Wii.
You will not believe who is one of the high scorers! Roger, nope I am not kidding! Madisyn is the best dancer and usually scores the highest, but every once in a while Roger will even beat her. In this photo Luke is playing Just Dance in Roger's SHOES! I guess he thought if he wore dad's shoes he could beat everybody. LOL The gray Converse in the photo are Madisyn's, he may have been trying those on too, for all I know. :)

Jake's Masterpiece!

Jake just had to take a picture of his "AMAZING" Tamale Pie.
As he says, "The Best  Food On Earth" .
So, I'm trying to be a good mommy and try to teach my children to be self reliant. They each get to cook once a week. Anything Mexican is usually what we get on Jake's night, and it is usually pretty tasty.

3rd times a CHARM, right?

Madisyn has been waiting for dance to get over so she could re-pierce her ears.
For the THIRD time! LOL
She has been wanting to get them done for awhile now but the dance team does not allow any jewelry during practice or performance. I hope that this time will be the LAST time, I made her pay for it so it probably will be.  lol

Snow Fun 3/21/11

Luke has a GREAT time playing in the snow when Will and Mia came over.
They loved having snow ball fights,

making Snow Angles,

and just being plain silly!

Luke standing under the roof line in the snow melt.    What cute little snow  bugs they are!
